Disintegration / Integration (diploma work), 2012

The main subject of this series is exploring the matters of invading privacy, human relations, alienation due to progress of the technology and the question of mortality. Int his series I mostly used thrown-away pieces of furniture (suitcases, drawers, mailboxes...) and photographs collected from the trash or found on flee-markets. I usually combine them creating some kind of an assemblage. The thrown-away objects are depicting the transience, but also the fragments of a person in whose possession they were before being discarded, particles of every-day life that had been thrown out on the street, with a certain insufficiency of explanation. My intention was to try to put the pieces together, capture the aura within the objects, and through my works to create an atmosphere that leaves you with a feel for transience and decay, mortality and immortality that we leave with the objects that surrounded us.
